Compliance Training

Texas Christian University is committed to creating and fostering a culture of mutual respect in which all of our members can work together, free from all forms of exploitation, intimidation and harassment, including sexual harassment. While such behavior is prohibited by federal and state laws and TCU policy, our goal as an organization is to not only comply with laws, but to ensure that we actively sustain a highly productive and professional working environment. To remain in the forefront of best practices and comply with two new federal mandates, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) and SaVE (Sexual Violence Elimination Act), all faculty and staff are required to complete two interactive training programs during the academic year:

• Preventing Discrimination and Sexual Violence: Title IX and the SaVE Act for Faculty and Staff
• Unlawful Harassment Prevention for Higher Education Faculty and Staff

All employees will receive communications with complete information and links to take the online training in coming weeks from Workplace Answers, the vendor facilitating the training. E-mail reminders will be generated until the training is completed.  Because of provisions in the Campus SaVE Act, student employees are also required to complete compliance training this year. All current student workers will receive information and a link to complete Unlawful Harassment Prevention for Higher Education Student Employees in the coming weeks.
