About this Job

The Development Graduate Assistant supports the overall goals of TCU Frog Club, the principal fundraising arm of TCU Athletics.
Through a variety of tasks and learning opportunities, the graduate assistant will play a significant role in aspects of fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, Frog Club event management, and the growth of the Frog Club brand. This role will provide a graduate student with the tools to succeed in a full-time role in college athletics development following the completion of their graduate assistantship. Texas Christian University is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Applicant must have a Bachelor’ degree with 1+ year experience in intercollegiate athletics or transferrable field and be accepted and enrolled in a TCU 1-or-2-year graduate program. Tuition, school fee and a stipend will be covered for 2 years. Please note, the tuition and school fee are paid through a financial aid process by the host department; Frog Club and the annual stipend of $19,000 is paid directly to the graduate student on a biweekly schedule for their work done in Frog Club. Graduate student will need to anticipate the need to pay out-of-pocket expenses such as books, housing, parking and any additional fees needed to complete the graduate program.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Support and assist in TCU Frog Club office operations and tasks, consisting of taking phone calls, gathering research, pulling and requesting reports in support of fundraising efforts and donor management.
• Actively participates in the management of Student Frog Club, sport specific fundraising, and annual fund initiatives.
• Key responsibilities related to prospect management of current and prospective donors.
• Assist in Frog Club and Block T Association strategic social media and communication execution.
• Develop and enhance opportunities for collaboration with other areas of athletics department and university advancement.
• Provides innovative ideas to increase brand recognition, membership numbers, and overall giving.
• Represents TCU Athletics and Frog Club at organization sponsored engagements.
• Assist with stewardship fulfillment, from the major gift level to weekly gift acknowledgement process.
• Serve as a liaison to the ticket office for matters of club seat sales, season renewals, etc.
• Coordinate game day parking operations for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball
• Support Horned Frog Hospitality efforts, from staff management to game day club supervision
• Performs other related duties as assigned in supporting efforts of the TCU Frog Club.

Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
• Detail-oriented.
• Innovative, forward thinking, and self-starter.
• Willingness to make cold calls if necessary.
• Demonstrated outgoing and affable personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking and the ability to work independently is needed.
• Genuine interest in intercollegiate athletics development.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
• Knowledge of basic research techniques.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Work Environment:
• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
