Job Search Boot Camp

The Office of Graduate Studies hosts an annual Job Search Boot Camp during the fall semester. This event includes a panel discussion, a workshop of materials, a lunch and learn, and an opportunity to take a professional head shot. The Job Search Boot Camp prepares students for traditional academic and alt ac career paths. Look for announcements in your email for more information.


Three Minute Thesis  (3MT®) celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. The Three Minute Thesis competition is held annually during the Spring Semester, Look for announcements in your email for more information.

TCU Center for Career and Professional Development

Career Consultants are trained to address graduate students’ specific needs based on their college and career goals in regards to a variety of job-search needs, such as resume preparation and interview techniques. In addition, FrogJobs, TCU’s digital jobs’ board, empowers you to make strategic career decisions. FrogJobs connects graduate students with employers, helps graduate students find internships and jobs, and provides graduate students offer and salary insight on organizations they are interested in.
